Choosing Which Fan - Step By Step

Kits & Assemblies

PACET INTERNATIONAL FANS

Pacet International Fans have always had the industry's recognition for their performance, continual development and innovation.   Tooled and manufactured in the UK, the new design with 11 blades is interchangeable with most European, American and Eastern products.   We think that the International range of cooling fans is the best!   There are 17 major reasons for selecting a Pacet International Fan.

FAN KITS & ASSEMBLIES

  • THINLINE KITS - The essence of the Thinline Kit is the selection of quality component parts and the use of dedicated Puller or Blower blades which maximise airflow. Pacet have chosen a modern, well engineered motor with a smooth performance, low amperage consumption and a long life. Kits come complete with fan - motor - shroud unit, capillary thermostat, tie mounts, flush mounts and wiring harness. Click here to see Thinline Kit specifications
  • THINLINE FMS ASSEMBLIES - Preassembled fan - motor - shroud units for a very wide range of applications where space is an issue. Suitable for -30° C transport refrigeration, air conditioning, hydraulic systems, radiator and automatic transmission cooling, off-road vehicles, classic cars, coaches, and motor homes. The units are assembled with four 90° lugs, rim depth 35mm. Click here to see Thinline Fan specifications
  • PROFAN FMS ASSEMBLIES & KITS - Profan assemblies are designed to maximise the fan’s potential performance and are therefore fitted with the most powerful motor compatible with blade size and type. The units are supplied with 90° mounts and threaded mounts. Profans are either dedicated Pullers or Blowers, all the other Pacet components , i.e. quickmounts, thermostats, brackets etc. are interchangeable. We recommend the use of Profans when large volumes of air need to be moved. Click here to see Profan specifications
  • CLUB KITS - PACET’s popular universal Club Kit range from 8" to 16" blade diameter. Each kit consists of a preassembled fan, motor and shroud unit with integral finger guard, adjustable capillary thermostat, wiring and quickmounts in fact all you need to make fitting quick and easy. The fan blade is supplied as a Puller but it can be quickly reversed into a Blower to fit in front of the radiator.  Click here to see Club Kit specifications
  • CLUB FMS ASSEMBLIES - As an alternative to our Club Kit we can supply the fan - motor - shroud preassembled unit with four 90 degree mounting lugs only. Accessories such as thermostats or quickmounts can be purchased separately as required. Click here to see Club FMS specifications
  • TWIN KITS - Available as Club-, Thinline and Profans.  For a wide range of applications, particularly off-road and 4 x 4 vehicles, the Twin Kits have a matching pair of preassembled fan, motor and shroud units, a capillary thermostat, illuminated rocker override switch for the second fan, plus all wiring , connectors, fuses and fixings to complete the kit.  Twin fans offer maximum coverage of the radiator area, together with the performance and flexibility necessary for mixed driving conditions such as gentle roads, towing wide varieties of weights, off road, competition, green laneing etc. Click here to see Twin Kit specifications

  • AUXILIARY  KITS -  The kits are ideal for towing or when heavy demands are placed on the engine cooling system. Sizes range from 10" to 16" with reversible blades which are supplied as Pullers but which can easily be converted to Blowers. Low amp draw minimises the impact of the electric current on other components. The kit contains quickmounts, illuminated rocker and override switch, wiring and relay.  The correct size of auxiliary fan depends on whether the towing vehicle is automatic, has air-conditioning and on the total weight to be towed or carried.

The following applies to the Club, Thinline, High Profile and Profan ranges:

*Nominal blade size – see W & D for overall dimensions.**Performance @ 0.15” 3.75mm static x 12 Volt (and for 24V)

Note: 0.15” (3.75mm) static pressure is the equivalent of a typical 1” (25.4mm) thick radiator.   Free air figures are always much greater and look more impressive but are not relevant in almost all situations and are therefore not shown here.

Performance figures, intended as a comparison guide to other models, are shown for pulling mode, being the most reliable.   Blowing performance is unreliable, as it has degrees of spill and wastage and is only used when space considerations make it the sole option.   Amp draw taken at nominal 12 Volt rating.   Normal test voltage is 13.5V, for 24V a typical Amp reduction of 45% should be used.   Add 24 to part number for 24V .

Fan/motor/shroud assemblies are available separately as used for all ranges, as are all the components.   See price list and spares page for details.

The International Range has the essential safety finger guard as standard.
